Day 1: Arriving in Zhoushan

Zhoushan is a beautiful archipelago located off the east coast of China and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Begin your journey by driving to the Putuo Mountain scenic area, where you can visit one of the four sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism.

Once you’ve climbed Putuo Mountain and enjoyed the stunning views, head to Baisha Beach to relax and take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the East China Sea. You can also enjoy a seafood meal at one of the many nearby restaurants. End your day at the local five-star hotel, where you can rest up and recharge for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Exploring the Islands

After breakfast, hop in your car and head to the nearby Shenjiamen Fishing Port. Here, you can take a ferry to some of the surrounding islands, such as the stunning Shengsi Islands, located about an hour away. This chain of 400 islands is home to crystal clear waters, sandy beaches, and unique rock formations.

While on the islands, take a walk along the shorelines, visit one of the ancient fishing villages, or hike to the top of one of the hills for breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. Once you’ve had your fill of island exploration, take the ferry back to the main island and spend your evening at the local night market, sampling the local cuisine and browsing local vendors.

Day 3: Visiting Historical Sites

On your final day in Zhoushan, drive to the famous Zhujiajian Island, located on the southern tip of the archipelago. Here, you can visit some of the island’s most ancient temples, such as the Ningbo-Hangzhou Guild Hall, the Kaiyuan Temple, and the Huqingyu Tang Chinese Medicine Museum.

In the afternoon, visit the Putuo Mountain National Forest Park, located on the mountain’s eastern slope. This park is a paradise for nature lovers, featuring a variety of flora and fauna, waterfalls, hiking trails, and stunning panoramic views.

After a day of sightseeing, drive back to your hotel and pack up for your journey home. While it may be hard to say goodbye to Zhoushan, you can rest assured that you’ve experienced some of the most beautiful and historic sites in China.
