Day 1: Explore Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Start your first day in Zhangjiajie by exploring the National Forest Park, which is the main attraction of the city. The park is massive, covering over 11,000 hectares of land, and is known for its unique rock formations, deep ravines, and lush forests.

One of the must-visit spots in the park is the Tianzi Mountain, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Take the cable car up to the top and walk along the pathways to take in the stunning views. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also take a helicopter tour to see the park from above.

Another popular attraction in the park is the Bailong Elevator, which is the highest outdoor elevator in the world. The ride up to the top takes just a few minutes, but the views from the top are truly incredible.

In the evening, head to the Xibu Street to experience the local culture and cuisine. The street is filled with delicious local food stalls, souvenir shops, and street performers.

Day 2: Visit Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge and Yellow Dragon Cave

On your second day in Zhangjiajie, visit the Glass Bridge and Yellow Dragon Cave.

The Glass Bridge, which is the longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge in the world, offers a unique and thrilling experience. Walking across the bridge can be scary for some, but the stunning views of the surrounding scenery make it all worth it.

After visiting the Glass Bridge, head to the Yellow Dragon Cave, which is located around 20 kilometers away. The cave is known for its beautiful stalagmites and stalactites, as well as its impressive underground river. Make sure to bring comfortable clothes and shoes, as there is a bit of walking involved to explore the cave fully.

In the evening, return to the Xibu Street to try some more local delicacies and enjoy the atmosphere.

Day 3: Tianmen Mountain and Waterfall

On your third and final day in Zhangjiajie, head to Tianmen Mountain and Waterfall. Tianmen Mountain is known for its stunning views, and the journey up to the top is an experience in itself. Take the Tianmen Mountain Cableway, which is the longest cable car in the world, to reach the top. Once you reach the top, take a leisurely walk along the Tianmen Mountain Plank Road, which is a glass walkway that offers spectacular views of the surrounding scenery.

After visiting Tianmen Mountain, head to the Tianmen Mountain Waterfall, which is located nearby. The waterfall is over 100 meters tall and is surrounded by lush greenery. Take a walk along the pathway to get a closer look at the waterfall.

In the evening, take some time to relax and explore the city on your own. Head to a local restaurant or bar to try out some more local food and drinks, and immerse yourself in the local culture.
